When completed in mid 2010, The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences, South Beach will include a total of 45 fractional and 86 full ownership residences in a luxurious, oceanfront resort setting.
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, a recognized leader in luxury and service, will manage the property. The centerpiece of the new development is the historic Seville Beach Hotel building at 2901 Collins Avenue. Built in 1955, the 152,438-square-foot building, which will be renamed the Old Seville Tower, will have a fully renovated interior while preserving the hotel’s exterior architectural envelope. Several unique elements of the original hotel, such as the Matador Room in the shape of a bullfighting ring, and distinctive gold mosaic tiles, will be preserved. The renovated tower will feature 45 fractional owner-ship residences, 30 full ownership units plus two townhomes with separate entrances.
Moss & Associates will also construct the development’s additional major components:• the 63,109-square-foot North Tower Addition, which will include 29 full ownership units, and will be connected via a bridge to the Old Seville Tower.• the 93,579-square-foot South Tower, which will have 25 full ownership residences and a soaring lobby with a 30-foot ceiling, overlooking the renovated, historic Seville Beach Hotel swimming pool. The South Tower will connect to the Old Seville Tower via a glass bridge.
