Constructed in two phases, and under “green” building standards, this $22 million Performing and Visual Arts Center stands three stories tall and sits at the central core of the campus adjacent to NSU’s University Center. Its features a full production performance theatre, black box theatre, scene and costume shops, as well as liberal arts studios for photography, ceramics, printing, sculpture, painting and design on its second floor. Instrument and choral rehearsal studios, percussion and keyboard labs, and eight separate sound-conditioned practice studios are located on the building’s third level. As construction manager, Moss worked closely with the owner and designers throughout the preconstruction planning phases and then proceeded to complete the new structure 30 days ahead of schedule while maintaining full campus operations. The project represents one of six consecutive projects that Moss has built for this prestigious University.
