Moss Completes Leon Renovation in 90 Days

October 15, 2009 –– Moss & Associates, one of Florida’s largest construction management companies, recently completed a building renovation for Leon Medical Centers’ Kendall Medical Facility located at 12515 SW 88th street. The 70,000 square foot $10 million project was completed 90 days after receipt of the building permit by working around the clock, seven days a week. Designed by MGE Architects, the renovated Medical Facility features patient exam rooms, an optical and podiatry center, a CT Scanning suite, Ultrasound and Echo facilities, an Urgent Care center, Labs and Diagnostic rooms, a Dental area and various nurse stations. The modernization also included replacing all windows to Hurricane impact, upgrading HVAC systems, adding fire sprinklers, site improvements and landscaping. “The facility’s top-quality design and finishes will all contribute to a caring, holistic atmosphere, “ said Moss & Associates Project Executive Ed Baro.
Leon Medical Centers’ facilities throughout Miami-Dade County are owned and operated by the León family. The centers are exclusively dedicated to serving the needs of Medicare patients.
Construction of this fast track project began in June 2009 and took place while portions of the building remained fully operational. The project represents the second consecutive project that Moss is constructing for this owner. Moss will complete Leon’s Flagler Medical Center a new four-story facility in Miami by late November 2009.
