Moss & Associates Honored With Sunshine State Safety Award
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, January 30, 2007
Moss & Associates is one of Florida’s first recipients of the Sunshine State Safety Recognition Award, honoring the construction management company’s safety program at CityPlace South Tower condominium under construction in West Palm Beach.
The University of South Florida’s (USF) Safety Consultation Program launched the Sunshine State Safety Recognition Awards last summer, to encourage and spotlight effective safety and health management programs at construction sites statewide. USF’s Safety Consultation Program serves as the federal Occupational Health & Safety Administration (OSHA) consultant for Florida.
The award is Moss & Associates’ third safety-related honor in recent months. In August, Moss & Associates and joint venture partner Roy Anderson Corp. received Florida’s first Sunshine State Safety Recognition Award for the twin-tower Emerald Grande underway at HarborWalk Village in Destin. Also in 2006, OSHA recognized Moss & Associates as a participant in the federal Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP), based on the exemplary safety and health management system in place at the company’s headquarters in Fort Lauderdale.
CityPlace South Tower, developed by The Related Group, is located in downtown West Palm Beach across from the CityPlace mixed-use center, the Kravis Performing Arts Center, and just east of the new Palm Beach County Convention Center.
The 20-story luxury condominium tower will feature views of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Ocean, and each residence will offer I.R.I.S. (Interactive Resident Information System), an integrated wireless network, throughout. Scheduled for completion in September 2008, the development will include ground-floor retail space, a pool, spa and eight-story parking garage.
One of the nation’s fastest growing construction companies, Moss & Associates provides construction management and design/build services throughout the United States, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Focused on large, complex projects, the firm ranked 53rd on ENR Magazine’s national 2006 “Top 100 Contractors by New Contracts” listing. The company’s active portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects includes Downtown Dadeland in the Miami suburb of Kendall; Tao, a high-rise condominium development under construction in the Fort Lauderdale suburb of Sunrise, and Saguaro Correctional Facility in Eloy, Arizona.
