Boca Raton Resort and Club Modernization
Location: Boca Raton, Florida
Client: LXR
Architect: Garcia Stromberg
As construction manager, Moss completed six modernization projects exceeding $35 million over a three year period at this historic five diamond resort that was originally constructed in 1926. All work took place under a fast track schedule while the hotel remained in full operation. Projects included the 10,000 SF renovation to Cloister Hall, the 54,000 SF modernization of the Great Hall, the new 15,000 SF Old Homestead Steakhouse and 4,000 SF Cielo Restaurant. Work also entailed enhancing 60 units within the 92,000 SF Bungalows on site.
Many upscale finishes can be found throughout the renovated space including imported stone, terrazzo and porcelain tile, piano lacquered walnut timber floors, custom mahogany and granite front desks, wood paneled walls fixtures, Venetian plaster walls, new storefront and curtain-wall systems, a grande stair, cast decorative Chinese art glass panels, a new hydraulic elevator, architectural lay-in hardwood ceiling systems, and custom paint with textured finishes.
