Texas A&M Maritime Academy Residence Hall

This design-build dormitory, located on the Texas A&M Galveston campus, was completed through a public-private partnership (P3) with Hunt Development Companies. The project site is located within a preserved wetland, which was maintained throughout construction. The building features two residential wings connected to a central commons, with adjacent features including an illuminated formation court. The commons includes classrooms, study lounges, flexible social spaces, staff and cadet offices, a reception area, common laundry facilities, a convenience shop, and storage areas.

The six-story building has cold formed metal framing with slabs on metal decks, a structural steel core, and a brick and stucco exterior facade. A new CMU block central energy plant was constructed next to the main building.
