Designed to create a “welcoming gateway,” this single-story facility houses the information and adjudication offices and the USCISís application support center. As construction manager, Moss completed the building as a LEED® Silver certified structure resistant to a Category 5 hurricane. Energy-saving features include perimeter windows with overhanging louvers and sunshade panels to prevent excessive solar gain. Designed to provide a secure environment for employees and visitors while maintaining an inviting image, security has been integrated into the site design. A seat wall, concrete planters and other landscape elements provide security setbacks while providing the public with an an open and welcoming environment.
Project features include:
- A one-and-a-half story lobby that can accommodate 200 visitors
- A three-level-parking structure capable of accommodating 147 vehicles
