University of Miami Student Activity Center

Location: Miami, Florida
Client: University of Miami
Architect: Arquitectonica and WTW Architects

When complete in the Fall 2013, this new $28 million, 110,000 SF Student Activity Center will sit at the center of the University’s main campus along Lake Osceola. The complex is designed to centralize campus amenities and unite the student body. The facility will feature a food court, indoor/outdoor dining area, a lounge, galleries, individual and group study spaces, and large multipurpose room capable of adapting to banquets, lectures or performances. A 10,000 SF student organization suite, conference rooms, workspace and fully equipped media center with computer rooms, production facilities and 400-seat auditorium/theatre, are among the facility's additional features.

As construction manager, Moss is currently working with the owner and their two designers, Miami-based Arquitectonica and Pittsburgh-based WTW Architects, during the preconstruction planning phases to ensure all budget, schedule and logistical requirements are addressed.
