Nova Southeastern University East Rosenthal Dining Renovation
Location: Davie, Florida
Client: Nova Southeastern University
Architect: Cannon Design
Adjacent to Nova Southeastern University’s University Center, the Rosenthal Building is an existing two-story structure that was renovated by Moss to provide the University with a flexible dining and meeting space. Renovations to the East end of the building consisted of demolition to the first and second floor interior spaces and complete build-out of both floors, totaling more than 19,776 SF.
The first floor includes a new catering kitchen, faculty dining facility, offices for food services and student affairs. The faculty dining facility is an upscale dining area that doubles as a meeting room with terrazzo, carpeted floors and wood- paneled ceilings. The build-out also provided for four student activities offices, four meeting rooms, a lounge, and large multi-purpose areas on the second floor. The lounge and multi-purpose rooms are equipped with audio / visual requirements for conducting meetings and presentations. The $5.5 million East Rosenthal Dining Renovation project was delivered on-time, with savings to the owner.
