Mirror Lake Elementary School Replacement

Location: Plantation, Florida
Client: School Board of Broward County
Architect: Zelch & McMahon Architects

Modernized in December 2009, this elementary school now has 18,000 SF of new construction and associated site work. Mirror Lake Elementary construction consists of the relocation of the School Resource Officer’s trailer & associated site work to make room for the construction of the new Kitchen / Cafeteria / Multipurpose Building including a new Emergency Generator and upgrades of the existing Chiller Plant.

In addition, work in the existing buildings includes replacement of the existing fire alarm system throughout the entire campus and installation of a new fire sprinkler system in building #1. Site work upgrades to accommodated the new Kitchen/Cafeteria Building and a new bicycle storage area.

The assignment represents one of 11 major projects that Moss has been awarded by the School Board in the past several years.
