Saguaro Correctional Facility

Despite the challenge of building in the middle of the Arizona desert, Moss staff completed this $90.5 million correctional facility under a fast track schedule in just 13 months. The 370,248 SF campus features 1,896 beds within 12 buildings and separate quarters for male and female inmates. Also included are visitation areas, administration space, classrooms, counseling offices and chapel. The remainder of the campus is comprised of several outdoor recreational areas, a maintenance building and two adjoining service buildings equipped with kitchen, dining, food service, commissary, laundry, inmate processing rooms and medical areas.
As construction manager, Moss worked throughout the preconstruction phase to ensure all budget, schedule and logistical requirements were addressed prior to beginning work in the field. The project represents one of 20 projects that Moss executives have built for this owner in various areas of the United States.
