Gadsden Correctional Facility Expansion

Location: Quincy, Florida
Client: Corrections Corporation of America
Architect: DLR Group

As construction manager, Moss completed this 71,000 SF women’s correctional facility expansion and renovation on time and in budget while keeping the existing facility fully functional. Work entailed 384 inmate beds, a segregation and dormitory housing unit, segregation recreational area and classroom facilities. On-site crews also renovated and expanded the existing kitchen, dining, medical and visitation areas, in addition to the master control room and chapel.

Prior to commencing work in the field, Moss staff provided several months of preconstruction consulting services to ensure that all budgets, schedules and logistical requirements were met. The project represents one of 20 facilities that Moss has constructed for Corrections Corporation of America throughout the United States.
