Orion Jet Center FBO Terminal and Hangars
Moss was awarded the contract for the expansion of the Orion Jet Center, a Fixed-Base Operator (FBO). Moss was tasked with constructing a new terminal building and two new airplane hangars for the client.
The project featured elaborate site improvements, including exotic landscapes, a 46-zone irrigation system, rock salt finished walkways, and FAA airside paving complete with security fencing and operable gates. In addition, the hangars incorporate a unique fire suppression system which that quickly displaces high- expansion foam to extinguish flames and prevent reigniting, which is a critical element in protecting high- dollar assets in an aircraft hangar.
Moss worked closely with the owner and designers during all phases of the project to keep this multi-phase, 15-acre expansion on schedule and within budget. The terminal facility and both hangars are in full operation.
